Adobe Creative Suite 5

In about 12 days we will learn all about Adobe’s Creative Suite 5. You can sign up for the unveiling and watch a timer at Adobe’s launch site, Announcing Adobe CS5! Join for the exclusive Global Online Launch Event, Monday, April 12, 2010.
Before you get too excited, let’s get one thing straight: This is the unveiling, or basically an introduction to the public. Adobe is going so far as to call it a “launch” day but you will not be able to buy the software that day. Adobe has not announced a release day yet, but October 2010 makes sense to me (just a guess). This would position Adobe for a strong end to the calendar year, it would give them sufficient time to work on it after the April introduction, and it lines up exactly two years after the release of CS4. That said September/November would make just as much sense, and some rumors are putting the date earlier, noting an 18 month release cycle.

adobe photoshop cs5 white rabbitAt Adobe Photoshops 20th Anniversary event in San Francisco Kevin Connor, Senior Director of Product Management for Adobe conducted alive demonstration of “Content Aware Fill” ( PatchMatch) functionality in the Adobe Photoshop CS5  code name “White Rabbit”. This functionality was demonstrated in removing a person who was standing against a wall. Rather than the background color showing through it auto filled with the texture of the wall. Another demo was conducted with an imprecise panoramic photo that had been stitched together. Empty areas were automatically filled in between and around the completed stitched photo.

Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 - Mercury Playback Engine Sneak Peek
A discussion with Dave Helmly on Digital Audio Video hardware solutions for Adobe`s video and audio application, he give us a sneak peek at some new technology for an upcoming release of Adobe Premiere Pro CS5
Adobe Mercury Playback Engine is a total gamer changer for NLE users allowing an “off the shelf” nvidia graphics card to handle the heavy requirements of today’s HD workflows also allows users to get more power from their CPUs. By using GPU and CPU in parallel, you get unbelievable performance running in a clean 64 bit operating system. Remember, all future versions of Premiere (Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 and Adobe After Effects CS5 or CS “Next”) are 64-bit only OSX 10.6 or 64-bit edition of Microsoft Windows Vista or Windows 7. By running in parallel, the CPU can take over tasks where the GPU isn’t used.

GOOGLE TV

Google TV Coming to Your Living Room Soon – Android Based TV!

http://www.blogcdn.com/www.downloadsquad.com/media/2007/04/googletv.jpg

What happens when 3 giants combine forces? Well you get Google TV. Sources claim that Google, Sony, and Intel are going to do just that. Google TV will pretty much turn your old boring TV and turn it into a device from the 22nd century.

Google TV will pretty much turn your TV to your Computer and you will have access to the web with the same usability and ease as you would on your personal pc. Since most new version of TV’s already has capability to connect to the internet, this should be a piece of cake for the three giants.

Google is claiming that the rumors are just that, Rumors and they made no comments about the collaboration of Google, Sony, and Intel to create Google TV. Google has been working in the background for the last few months trying to develop, Google TV.

While this can be a smart move for Google, this can also end up hurting them if this was true. The TV world is very much different. Although Google owns majority of the web, one only thinks that they will succeed at pretty much anything they do. Apple tried this w while back when they created the Apple TV but that proved to be a bust. We can only stay tuned and see what Google has in store for us in the following month.

I wish the three companies the best and hope Google TV will become a reality in the near future.

Try Out Google Chrome OS

hose who are desperate to try out the Google chrome OS,Here's the VMware of it.
First, a few caveats: we didn’t create the Chrome OS build ourselves — it was downloaded from BitTorrent. In theory it could possibly have been tweaked by some malicious hacker to steal your Google account information (this is unlikely, but who knows). There’s an easy fix if you’re worried though: just go make a throwaway Gmail account, and use that to play around with the OS. Also note that because this is running in a virtual machine, you’re probably not going to be seeing great performance (like that 7 second boot time). But it’s more than good enough to get a feel for the OS for yourself.

to Make all Websites think you are from Google !!!

Make all Websites think you are from Google !!!

Ever experienced this? You ask Google to look something up; the engine returns with a number of finds, but if you try to open the ones with the most promising content, you are confronted with a registration page instead, and the stuff you were looking for will not be revealed to you unless you agree to a credit card transaction first....

The lesson you should have learned here is: Obviously Google can go where you can't.

Can we solve this problem? Yes, we can. We merely have to convince the site we want to enter, that WE ARE GOOGLE.

In fact, many sites that force users to register or even pay in order to search and use their content, leave a backdoor open for the Googlebot, because a prominent presence in Google searches is known to generate sales leads, site hits and exposure.

Examples of such sites are Windows Magazine, .Net Magazine, Nature, and many, many newspapers around the globe.

How then, can you disguise yourself as a Googlebot? Quite simple: by changing your browser's User Agent. Copy the following code segment and paste it into a fresh notepad file. Save it as Useragent.reg and merge it into your registry.

Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent]
@="Googlebot/2.1"
"Compatible"="+http://www.googlebot.com/bot.html

Voila! You're done!

You may always change it back again.... I know only one site that uses you User Agent to establish your eligibility to use its services, and that's the Windows Update site...

To restore the IE6 User Agent, save the following code to NormalAgent.reg and merge with your registry:

Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent]
@="Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)"

Enjoy..!

New Blogger Layout Design Tool

Costomization of blogs layout on blogger Easier now...

Google will begin on Thursday a public test of a Blogger layout customization tool that the company says significantly broadens publishers' ability to modify the look of their blogs.

The Blogger Template Designer includes ready-to-use professional designs, pre-built templates that can be further modified, a color-adjustment control to tweak the blog's color palette, stock photos for background use and an advanced interface for publishers who know HTML and CSS.

"The presentation of your content online and how you create that presentation is very important to self-expression. How you look online is your personal brand," said Siobhan Quinn, a Blogger product manager. "With this new tool, we want to empower users to express themselves not only through their words but also through their blog's design."

To use the Blogger Template Designer, publishers will have to log into their blogs through Blogger in Draft, which is where Google previews Blogger features that are still in a test phase.

"This is the biggest launch Blogger has had in several years," Quinn said.

Blogger, a pioneer blog publishing service launched in 1999, played a major part in the blogging revolution, but has at times over the years been criticized for being slow in adding features that competitors often incorporate sooner.

Nonetheless, it remains a major player in its market with millions of active bloggers and more than 300 million active monthly readers. In the past two years, active contributors to Blogger blogs have more than doubled, according to Google.

Source: http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/191306/google_tests_new_blogger_layout_design_tool.html

To try the new Design Tool, login via http://draft.blogger.com

New templates are better than the previous ones, background can be changed, many new body layouts available, 3 footer layouts. Now, sidebars and blog width are adjustable.

Try it if you writes blogs on blogger. Its awesome !

Secret Things VLC Media Player do

VLC Media Player is the most widely used Media player... but most people donno what that 10 MB installation come with .. other than playing any codec Videos...

here is list of those stuffs

1. Rip DVDs: VLC includes a basic DVD ripper. You probably would never use it when there are better DVD rippers available, but it helps to know that you can in fact, get a decent quality DVD rip with VLC. To rip a movie follow these steps: Go to the Media menu and choose Convert/Save. Click on the Disc tab.

* Here you can adjust the Starting Position and rip only specific titles or chapters.
* Enter file name making sure to end with .MPG, and start ripping.
* Click Save.

2. Record videos: With the new VLC, you can record videos during playback. The record button is hidden by default. To see it, click on View>Advanced Control. The record button will now appear. Clicking on the button while playing a movie or video will start recording. Clicking again will stop recording.

3. Play RAR files: Do you know VLC can play videos zipped inside RAR files? They play like normal video files and you can even use the seek bar. If the RAR file is split into several files, no problem. Just load the first part (.part001.rar ) and it will automatically take the rest of the parts and play the whole file.

4. Play in ASCII mode: VLC media player has an amusing ability, to playback movies in ASCII art. To enable ASCII mode, open VLC media player and click on Tools>Preferences. Open the section ?Video? section and under ?Output? select ?Color ASCII art video output? from the drop down menu. Save it. Now play any video file to enjoy the ASCII art.

5. Listen to online radio: VLC includes hundreds of Shoutcast radio stations. You just need to enable it through Media>Services Discovery>Shoutcast radio listings. Now, open the Playlist and browse through the stations.

6. Convert Audio and Video formats: In VLC you can convert video and audio files from one format to another. Several different formats are supported like MP4, WMV, AVI, OGG, MP3 etc. To access the converter:

* Go to Media>Convert/Save.
* Load the file you want to convert using the Add button and click Convert.
* Now choose the output format and output file location.

7. Download YouTube and other online videos: First grab the URL of the YouTube video page. Now click on Media>Open Network stream. Paste the URL and click Play.
Once VLC starts streaming the video, click Tools>Codec Information and at the bottom of the window you will see a Location box. Copy the URL and paste it on your browser?s address bar. The browser will now download the file which you can save it to your hard disk. Alternatively, you can record the video.

Prototype on Radeon HD 4890 (HD)

Prototype

http://brekground.com/bg2/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/prototype.jpg

Here's a video on Prototype running on my ATI Radeon HD 4890 Sapphire 1gb. Settings are maxed out including Anti-Aliasing and its running at a resolution of 1440 x 900. Getting around 60fps + without Fraps running and 30 - 40fps with Fraps on. Gameplay is fun and intuitive and the moves are awesome to execute but graphic wise, I would like to believe that the console version looks a lot better. Textures look very low res and there are quite a lot of jagged edges even though Anti-Aliasing is maxed out in the game.

I would rate it a 3.5/5

System specs:

AMD Phenom II X4 940 @ 3.41ghz
M4A79 Deluxe motherboard
4gb Crucial Balistixx RAM
ATI Radeon HD Sapphire 4890 1gb
250gb Western Digital Blue Caviar 7200rpm hard drive
630 watts Raidmax power supply
Window XP Professional 32bit
Antec 1200

Programs used:

Fraps
Sony Vegas Pro 8.0

GAMESPOT RATING:  8.5

Dragon Age Origins on X3100

Dragon Age Origins

http://www.brekground.com/bg2/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/dragon_age_cover-shot.jpg

Dragon Age Origins runs perfectly OK with 800x600 and lowest settings in software vertex mode. I didn't experience a bit of a lag. Even without software vertex mode it was running good. I think this game is playable.

Incredible storytelling, great characters, and exciting battles are just a few of the things that make this fantasy role-playing game so extraordinary.

GAMESPOT RATING: 9.5

The Good

  • Intricate, involving storytelling
  • Amazing dialogue and voice acting bring characters to life
  • Rich fantasy world filled with interesting lore
  • Enjoyable questing with plenty of twists and surprises
  • Lots of spells and abilities make combat fun.

FUEL runs quite OK with software vertex mode, and seems much more playable than before. Running at 15-20 FPS without FRAPS, the vehicles are controllable well and I could finish first in all races with all vehicles and in all seasons(even in Rain). But this is only when software vertex mode is enabled. So you need a good Core2Duo with above 2.0GHz processor to know the difference in FPS.

Vancouver 2010 seems playable under software vertex mode.

GAMESPOT RATING: 5.5

Sega brings the 2010 winter olympic games to the PC.

Resident Evil 5 Benchmark on X3100

RESIDENT EVIL 5

http://scrapetv.com/News/News%20Pages/Games/images-2/resident-evil-5-3.jpg

Resident Evil 5 seems to run at 10 FPS, but still feels like frames are skipped. Its seems playable though, but aiming might become a trouble. As this is only a benchmark, we cant say the final game will run like this. It might run even better.

GAMESPOT RATING: 8.5

Resident Evil 5 is a fun and frantic evolution of RE4's breakthrough gameplay and the series' horror themes.

The Good

  • Beautifully detailed graphics and character animations
  • Having a partner enhances the fun and excitement while adding tension
  • Real-time menu system keeps you immersed
  • Plenty to do once you've beaten it
  • Superior keyboard/mouse controls.

The Bad

  • Frustrating hurdles to leap when joining an online game
  • Slow, deliberate movement and gunplay may not appeal to everyone
  • Can't swap weapons with a human teammate online.

NFS Nitro on X3100 [Dolphin Emu].mp4

 Need For Speed NITRO

http://www.gameguru.in/images/need-for-speed-nitro-ss-001.jpg

NFS Nitro runs with 25 FPS with frame skipping put to 2. I put the dolphin in software vertex mode. The game is playable, but graphics are missing. Even sound is somewhat corrupted.

GAMESPOT RATING: 7.0

Need for Speed: Nitro gets off to a fast start, but lacks enough variety to make it into the winner's circle.

The Good

  • Looks good
  • Loads of customization options
  • Rewarding progress system.

The Bad

  • Only one camera view
  • Not enough variety.

Dark Void on X3100

Dark Void

Dark Void runs totally perfect. After so many games, finally a game which can be played perfectly on X3100. And its a good game as well.

Here is the modded config file for better performance: http://www.mediafire.com/?zmyjnyli2nw

GAMESPOT RATING: 6.5

Zooming around with your jetpack can be a lot of fun, but routine shooter action and long flightless sections keep Dark Void from flying high.

The Good

  • Jetpack is speedy and maneuverable
  • Great opportunities for daring stunts

The Bad

  • Too much time spent without a jetpack
  • Shooting is unexciting
  • Enemies are repetitive.

Aliens vs Predator on Intel X3100

Aliens vs Predator

Due to lack of options, the game is unplayable. The minimum resolution is 800x600, and there are no options for Motion Blur and other stuff. Simply cannot be played on X3100.

GAMESPOT RATING: 5.5

The Good

  • Three separate campaigns make for some variety
  • Close-up kills are wonderfully gross
  • Multiplayer can be good fun.

The Bad

  • Awkward and inconsistent controls
  • Poor level design
  • Loaded with small but deadly flaws.

Superstars V8 Next Challenge on Intel X3100

Superstars V8 Next Challenge
is 100% playable on Intel X3100.
Settings:
1024x768 and all other graphics option Off.
With FRAPS: 5FPS
Without FRAPS: 20FPS

So this game runs very well without FRAPS. The game runs even smoother in 800x600.

GAMESPOT RATING: 5.8

Crash Time III on Intel X3100

Crash Time III

Crash Time III runs perfectly on X3100 graphics. Settings: 800x600 and all low. All the jerkiness in the video due to FRAPS recording.

GAMESPOT RATING: 6.7

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat on Intel X3100

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat

Call of Pripyat is the third stand-alone game in the survival first-person shooter series.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat is a very optimized game. Runs perfect in High settings. Any jerks in the video is caused due to FRAPS recording. Settings: 800x600 High graphics settings.

The most stable S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game yet also happens to be the most atmospheric and compelling.

GAMESPOT RATING: 8.0

The Good

  • Bleak ambience creates a fantastic sense of place
  • Lots of tense exploration
  • Numerous improvements over the previous games
  • Some cool new enemies to take on.

The Bad

  • The story takes too long to get interesting
  • Pripyat isn't as interesting as the surrounding wastes.

Yah, We know that you are from India, so are we.. So we discovered out a way through which you can earn around 20$ a week paypal still from swagbucks!

How To Join Being a Non-US/Canadian

Well...This is a TRIED and a TRUSTED method so follow the following steps carefully

1. Make a new email id and register it with paypal and fill in random US address.. Yes, US address because paypal is returning payments to indian accounts!

2.Register at swagbucks with same paypal email id because they send payment only to the email id you registered no matter what happens, so remember the login details of that email id!

Now you are into SwagBucks
Done, Now what do i do inside?

Now you earn swagbucks by using swagbucks as your search engine, you can get 10 swagbucks ( minimum) , but not always, may be twice or thrice a day.. so you get around 30 swagbucks( minimum frm your searches)

Swagbucks also gives out swagcodes on its twitter and FB page, they can easily be spotted and they yield from around 15 SB per code, everyday minimum of 5 swagcodes , average is 7 or 8 .. so taking 15*5 = 75SB from this

So in all u make 105SB of your own...

Now if u invite 20 people out of which 10 are seriously using it, now, whenever your referal earns from the searches , you also earn along, so you assure daily 200SB from referals!

So u earn 305 SB ( Swagbucks) daily ,, in a week u earn 305* 7 = 2135SB

paypal 5$ card is worth 700SB, so in a week u can redeem 3 of them!! where this is the minimum!! Average goes up to 4 paypal giftcards a week! that is 20$!

So what are you waiting for join now  by clicking on banner...
Search & Win

PS- I already got 5$

DO share here whenever you redeem something!

And no use of redeeming a gift because u are non US/Canadian so u wont get it... ELECTRONIC Gifts are the best
